Thank you for your kind words of reassurance.
Please be assured that I bear no angst or anger
regarding the IWC. It is perfectly obvious to me that
you have packaged the watch beautifully, sent it in a
timely fashion, and that the level of care has been
satisfactory.
As I mentioned to Jonathan, I will let my
watchmaker, who has practised as such for 35 years, have
a go at getting it running. He has never before worked
on a DaVinci, so I did make it clear to him that he must
leave alone the perpetual calendar section of the
workings. He believes he will get it functioning
properly, so I am not concerned. If he cannot get it
going, I will contact you again for your suggested
course of action.
I am much happier for your words that
confidently predict a wonderful outcome in this
matter.
